We get this question a lot: “If I’m calling you instead of the internet provider, what exactly are you doing?” Fair question. Here’s the honest version.
What an authorized retailer is
Internet providers — like the major fiber, cable, and 5G companies — sell their plans through three channels:
- Their own website and call center (the obvious one).
- Big-box retailers like Best Buy, Costco, or Walmart kiosks.
- Independent authorized retailers — companies like us that have direct contracts with the providers to sell their plans.
We’re option three. We’re not the provider. We don’t own any cables, towers, or equipment. We’re a separate company — CLICKORA MARKETING LLC, based in 25 N. River Lane #103, Geneva, IL 60134 — that has agreements with multiple providers to sell their plans on their behalf.
What this means for you
The mechanics of ordering through us look like this:
1. You search by ZIP
You enter your ZIP code on the Site or call our agents at (844) 430-0228. We check which providers we represent serve your area and what plans they offer.
2. You compare
Our agents walk you through the options — speeds, prices, contract terms, bundle savings. You ask questions. We answer them honestly based on what we know from the providers and our retail experience.
3. You pick a plan
Once you decide, we place the order with the provider on your behalf. The provider verifies serviceability at your exact address, confirms final pricing, and handles installation and billing from there. You become a customer of the provider, not of us.
Same price as direct
You pay the provider’s published price. We do not mark up plans. We do not charge you a fee. The price you see on a quote from us for a given plan is the same price you’d pay calling that provider directly. (Promotional pricing — first-time-customer deals and special offers — can vary between channels, so it’s always worth comparing both.)
How we earn money
The provider pays us a commission when you sign up through us. That’s our entire business model. The commission comes from the provider’s marketing budget, not from your pocket.
We disclose this transparently here and in our Advertising Disclosure. You should know we’re paid by the provider so you can factor that into how much weight to give our recommendations.
What we do
- Help you compare plans across multiple providers in one conversation.
- Place the order with your chosen provider on your behalf.
- Walk you through bundling internet, TV, and phone for combined savings.
- Coordinate the installation appointment if a technician visit is required.
- Tell you honestly when a provider isn’t a good fit for your needs.
What we don’t do
- We don’t provide internet, TV, or phone service. The provider does that.
- We don’t handle outages, technical issues, or service problems after install. Those go to your provider’s tech support.
- We don’t bill you. Your provider bills you directly.
- We don’t sell every provider on the U.S. market. We sell plans from providers we have agreements with. There may be other options at your address we don’t represent.
- We don’t use the same DBAs as providers. We’re a separate, independent company. If we’re ever unclear about that, please call us out — we’ll fix it.
Why use a retailer instead of going direct?
The honest answer: it depends on what you value.
Use us if you want to compare options across multiple providers without making three or four separate phone calls. We’ll quote plans from each provider in one conversation. If you want a bundle that combines services, we can put the whole thing together with a single call.
Skip us and go direct if you already know exactly which provider and plan you want. The provider’s own promotions for new customers are sometimes more aggressive than what we can offer. It’s always reasonable to compare both.
Compliance and oversight
As an authorized retailer, we’re bound by:
- Our retail agreements with each provider — including disclosure rules, sales practices, and customer protection requirements.
- Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules on advertising, endorsements, and consumer protection.
- Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules where applicable to service marketing.
- State consumer protection laws in every state we sell into.
- The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and related rules on outbound calling and texting.
If you ever feel an interaction with us doesn’t meet these standards, please contact us at [email protected] or report it to the relevant authority. We take this seriously.
Talk to a real person
If you have a question we haven’t answered, the fastest way to get an answer is to call. Our agents are based in the U.S., trained on the providers we represent, and authorized to give you straight answers — including answers like “you should probably go directly to the provider for this one.”
