1. What this page is about
Several U.S. states — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and others — give residents the right to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information and the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This page describes our practices and how you can exercise that right with us.
2. Our practices, in plain English
Find My Internet Plan does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We do not provide your name, address, email, or other personal information to data brokers, marketers, or third parties in exchange for money.
However, when you place an order through Find My Internet Plan, we share information about you — typically name, address, phone number, email, and the plan you selected — with the internet service provider you choose. This sharing is necessary to complete your order. The provider becomes a separate data controller of that information once we share it.
Under broad definitions in some state privacy laws, this kind of sharing for commercial benefit may qualify as a “sale” or “share” even though we don’t receive money for it. Out of an abundance of caution, we treat it as such, and we honor opt-out requests accordingly.
3. What we don’t do
- We do not run cross-context behavioral advertising on the Site at this time.
- We do not share your information with advertising networks for ad targeting.
- We do not provide your information to data brokers.
- We do not sell your information to anyone — full stop.
If any of this changes in the future, we will update this page and provide a clear opt-out mechanism before any new sharing begins.
4. How to exercise your right to opt out
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with privacy laws granting opt-out rights, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by contacting us through any of the methods below. Please include the words “Do Not Sell or Share” in your message so we can route it to the right team.
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: (844) 430-0228 · Mon–Fri · 9am–5pm CT
- Mail: CLICKORA MARKETING LLC, Attention: Privacy Officer, 25 N. River Lane #103, Geneva, IL 60134
5. What information we need from you
To process your request and verify it’s really you, we’ll need:
- Your full name.
- The email address or phone number you used to interact with us, if any.
- The state you reside in.
- Confirmation that you’re submitting the request on your own behalf, or, if submitting on behalf of someone else, evidence of authorization.
We will verify your identity using the information we already have on file before honoring the request. We won’t ask for additional sensitive information beyond what’s needed to verify.
6. What happens after you opt out
Once verified, we will stop any sharing that qualifies as a sale under applicable state law. Specifically:
- If you have not yet placed an order through us, we will not share your information with any provider unless and until you place an order, at which point we’ll need to share enough information to complete it.
- If you have already placed an order, we will not engage in any further sharing for non-essential purposes. The provider you signed up with already has the information needed to deliver service to you, and we cannot un-share what has already been shared.
- We will continue to share information where required by law, to comply with legal process, or as necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Find My Internet Plan or others.
Your opt-out applies prospectively. To request deletion of information we already hold, see our Privacy Policy for instructions.
7. Response time
We aim to confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and complete it within 45 days. If we need additional time, we’ll let you know in writing and explain why.
8. Right to non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This means we will not deny Services to you, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of Service because you opted out.
9. Authorized agents
If you wish to designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, that agent must provide a written authorization signed by you. We may also contact you directly to verify the request before acting on it.
10. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Some browsers and browser extensions support a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When required by applicable law, we will treat a GPC signal received from your browser as a valid opt-out request from that browser and device.
11. Other privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights — including the right to access information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion. Details on these rights and how to exercise them are in our Privacy Policy.
